Μες στην Ελλάδα των Τεμπών

The Tembi crime case and all the things that followed capture Greece's big problems: The lack of justice and, as a result, democracy. The unchecked power of the economic oligarchy and its ties to political power. The immunity of the political and economic elite. That is why the families' struggle for justice is a struggle for the dignity of the country.

As a group of cartoonists who satirise current affairs in the print and electronic media on a daily basis, but also as citizens of this country who are outraged by the long-standing pathologies of our corrupt political system, we have decided to add our own ‘Enough is enough!’ to that of the majority of society. That is why we have compiled our cartoons related to the railway crime in Tempi, contributing in our own way to ensuring that it is never forgotten by anyone.

As mentioned in the introduction to the publication by Maria Karistianou, on behalf of the Association of Victims' Relatives:

‘...So that pain becomes strength and despair... hope.’

May it transform us into messengers so that we may live in your light, even at night.

May we never again be without light. May we never again be deceived.

If only we had you by our side to see how much strength and wisdom you give us... I am grateful that you illuminated the truth in countless ways and miracles. You reintroduced us to the path of selfless love. To move us and give us the courage to share it. For all of creation to feel it.

To keep us forever united in the light, so that we never feel alone again.

Grateful for as long as I had you to raise and be proud of, my heart... I did everything I could and I do everything I can...
