The Jizo manga is the first collaboration between Mato, a young Japanese illustrator, and Mr Tan, aka Antoine Dole, an author of comics, manga and children's novels. It is a tale that explores Japanese folklore in the style of Hayao Miyazaki's Journey to Wonderland. The normal and ordinary meets the uncanny and otherworldly in a story that is hypnotic, frightening, poetic as well as seductive. As the friendship between Aki and Jizo develops, Mato and Mr Tan combine their talents and sensibilities into a visually gorgeous manga that will delight young and old alike!
