Gold fever was often the reason that in Far West a town was created to be turned, after the fever passed, into a ghost town. In this fine story, some people consider it immoral to shoot someone in the back while some others consider it immoral to shoot the bills. The former are the incurable "romantics" and "stubborn" and the latter belong to the incurable "realists" and "fresh-faced". In his adventures, Lucky Luke has often saved human lives, but in this one he saves an entire town. "God may love a thief" but Lucky Luke loves a householder (caution - not the usual "householders"). If you too were a poor and lonely old man and the first number of the lottery was drawn - after a lifetime - would you tear up the lottery ticket if someone assured you that 687,541 people could be happy that way?
