The third album of the Celtica series. It contains the following stories:
- Dream of a Winter Morning: England: During World War I, England faces yet another Saxon invasion after many centuries. This time the danger comes from a German submarine arriving at Tindagel. At Stonehenge, the old mythical figures of Oberon, Puck, Morgana and Merlin confer to face the danger of a Saxon invasion of England. And they choose Corto Maltese in place of Arthur... But is all this real or just another dream?
- Cot de Nui and the Rose of Picardy: France, 1918: Corto has two bottles of good red wine, which he tries to keep from some drink-thirsty Australian soldiers in the trenches of the Somme. German pilot Red Baron, in his red fighter aircraft, shoots down Allied planes, laying a wreath of red roses on the bodies of the pilots he kills. The Red Baron keeps adding to his list of victims and seems invincible... Unless he is hit, with a rifle shot, by a young Australian soldier who is Australia's best marksman... but only when he is drunk...
